Sayed Masood Sadat

Masood Sadat is a member of the Research Board of the Porsesh Research & Studies Organization (PRSO). Sadat has been involved in research on Afghanistan since 2013. His research interests include topics on public policy, migration and research mythology. Sadat holds a MA degree in Applied Economics from Center for Economic Research and Graduate Education – Economic Institute (CERGE-EI) in Prague, Czech Republic, a MA in Economic Governance and Development from the OSCE Academy in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, and BA in Economics and Political Science from the University of Lucknow in India. Sadat has contributed to the Asia Foundation’s A Survey of the Afghan People since 2014. His contribution involves leading technical team in analysis and quality control, and co-authorship of the annual report.
Sadat is enthusiastic in sharing his expertise in data analysis and survey methodology. He has authored a textbook on Data Analysis with Stata (in Dari language), and maintains a personal blog where he posts about data analysis and relevant topics with R (in English). Recently, Sadat has organized a course on Data Analysis with R, which received large amount of interest from researchers.
